Personal letter to the president of the Golf club
Dear Mr.
May I please direct a few words to you and your board?
In order to bridge the long winter months in regard to the social club life as well as playing Golf, I would like to submit to you the following perspective:
From November to May, in Southern Spain´s Costa de la Luz, in the tourist resort "Novo Sancti Petri" close to the town of Chiclana, Prov. Cadiz, there exists a potential of 6 Golf courses next to an area of 14 hotels, 4 and 5 star class, with low occupation at this time, situated directly on the sandy beach at your disposal.
There are several reasons to consider the transfer of part of the club life during the winter months to the Costa de la Luz, such as:
1.) Low winter rates and good connections to northern European cities, Malaga or Jerez de la Frontera, directly or via Madrid. From some northern airports also charter flights operate.
2.) According to official meteorological statistics, during the period of 1st Nov. to 30th of May (182 days) you may play golf on more than 140 days - with average day temperatures of 21.5 degrees.
3.) The golf course capacity, even by large groups is always assured. Close to the hotel area exists 6 golf courses of high quality, in addition to that, in the surrounding area of 45km you will find a further 8 golf courses. The price of green fees could be specially arranged for as little as 25-30€.
4.) As mentioned above, there exists one top 5 star hotel with a capacity of over 1000 beds, price half board 150€ and a further 14 4 star hotels with a total capacity of over 8500 beds, half board 60€ , low season fare.
5.) In the case of the weather conditions not allowing you to play golf, very attractive excursions will be organized, such as:
- Trip to Jerez, with the famous "Royal Riding School". Wineries of the world-wide "Sherry".
- Excursion to Sevilla with one of the greatest cathedral's of the world, the Arabic Alcazar Palace and the Giralda Tower.
- Trip through the countryside up to Ronda, down to Marbella and returning along the coast road.
- Night tour visiting a Flamenco show and a Casino.
 6.) Entertaining and sport program (Tennis, horse riding and golf lessons)
