Tourist-resorts: Malaga east: Nerja, Torre del Mar, Torrox, Malaga west: Torremolinos, Fuengirola Mijas, Marbella, Estepona.
Airport of Malaga:
One of the highest frequented airports with 400 flights daily all over Europe and overseas, with daily flights to and from Moscow, via Madrid. (New ampliation under construction.)
Highways: There is an eastbound highway to Almería and a west bound one to Cadiz, both along the coast. A further highway goes north , forking later, one to Granada, one to Cordoba and a third to Seville.
Excursions: One of the most popular excursions leads you to Ronda, behind the coast mountains. The little town is split into half due to a deep gorge and was formerly a moorish fortress. Further back off the coast, in the countryside, you will find many old and typical villages, such as Casares, Mijas, Alora Tolox and others on the east side of Malaga. For children: Crocodile Park (Torremolinos) Tivoli Park (Benalmadena) Donkey Ride (Mijas) and Safari Park (Marbella).
Marinas: There are several beautiful marinas, at Benalmadena, Cabo Pino, Puerto Marbella, the most famous Puerto Banus, Puerto Estepona and Puerto La Duquesa.

Golf courses: There are all together 42 Golf courses along the Coast of Malaga, mainly between Marbella and Estepona, the reason of the second name of the coast, "Costa del Golf".
Languages: In addition to Spanish, at the hotels, restaurants and shops mainly English is spoken. Apart from Spanish local news papers, there is a local SUR NEWS in English and a local German newspaper called "Costa del Sol Nachrichten".
